Whaddaya know? CCFibers, http://beebabottoms.blogspot.com/, gave me a blog award! How cool, right? Yes, I had to type out her entire web address. Why? My add a linky doodle thing won’t work. You know, it’s really starting to get on my nerves. ANY WAY. Back to my way cool award.
Here are the rules
List 7 things that you love and then pass the award on to 7 people…tagging them and letting them know they won! You can copy the picture of the award and put it on your sideboard letting the whole wide world know you are KReATIV!
7 Things I love
1. My silly little family. What’s not to love? They inspire and irritate in equal measures. Never a dull moment in my world.
2. My hands. I love creating things with my own two hands. Whether it’s knitting, baking, or making a crafty project with my daughter, it’s through my hands that I truly feel alive. Being able to both create and destroy….there is so much power in them.
3. Knitting. DUH! There’s nothing like seeing someone you love wearing something you made from a ball of yarn and two sticks.
4. Autumn. Hands down my favorite seasons. What’s not to love? The colors, the smells, the weather. Pumpkins and comfy sweaters. Little darlings in costumes. Long walks and hot tea.
5. I don’t love music, I’m obsessed with it. I listen to EVERYTHING. I could spend hours discussing it. Very unhealthy.
6. Books. Reading is such a wonderful pasttime. Escaping into fantasies, what a wonderful way to pass an afternoon.
7. I have no idea. Food. Food gets me excited. I love eating. I love cooking and baking, and eating. MMmmmmm.
My 7 nominees are:
1. Sheepish Little Blog. http://sheepishlittleblog.wordpress.com
2. Tasha B. www.tashab24.blogspot.com
3. PDXKnitterati www.pdxknitterati.com
4. alicethelma http://www.heavydutydesign.com/alicethelma/
5. Miss V http://www.moderngypsy.com/blog
6. wormlynn http://wormlynn.blogspot.com/
7. Panda Bonzai http://pandabonzai.blogspot.com/
Ok, moving right along. I still have not found my other dpn, so there has been no work on my sweater. My knuckles and wrist are killing me, so no work on my sock. I took loads of photos today, but did not think to take pictures of them. Sooooowwwwwyyy.
Yesterday, I started working on a cardigan for my little pooper. I think I bought the pattern from Pattern Works about 2 years ago. It’s simply called Child’s Cardigan. I’m using bulky weight yarn, Wool Ease Thick and Quick, and size 13 and 15 needles. I wanted to do something with big yarn and big needles in the hopes that it would be easier on my hands. I was right.

I finished the back piece, and I’m about half way done with the first (of two) front piece. Got some work done after I took the photo. I think it’s looking pretty good so far. I added two inches to the length, otherwise it hits right at the hips, no room to grow. That’s the only alteration so far.
Also, I made some homemade chili and cornbread:

So darn delicious. The little turtle picked all the beans and ate them first. She’s weird like that. She’ll eat peas and broccoli before cookies.
What other fun, creative things did I do today? Thank you so much for asking!

We saw Coraline two weeks ago and it was FREAKING AWESOME! Lil’G loved it. There’s handknit clothing in almost every scene. Did you know they were all knit by hand with a needle slightly thicker than a strand of hair? Aaaand the woman who did the knitting lives here in Minnesota? Bloomington to be exact. Soo cool.
I think I’ll leave off here. My wrists are giving out, and I still have to notify people of their award. So, quickly my playlist. The Chicago! soundtrack, Incubus, Third Eye Blind and The GooGoo Dolls.
